St. Petersburg
Downtown is the heart of the City of St. Petersburg, filled with shopping, dining, and cultural attractions. It’s a perfect place to explore, both day and night. You can rent a bike, take a guided segway tour, or hop on the free trolley. The beautiful waterfront parks are reputedly the third largest contiguous waterfront park system in North America, meandering along the open water and marinas.
Many are drawn to Downtown St. Petersburg for its world-class museums, including the Salvador Dali Museum, the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts, the newly opened James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art and many others. A true arts destination, visitors enjoy galleries, studios, and internationally acclaimed mural art throughout downtown.
Beach Drive offers fantastic restaurant options and sophisticated evening entertainment options. Central Avenue gets a bit more casual, with plenty of drinking and dining choices, and lots of nightlife. There’s a free First Friday monthly street party, and several venues for live entertainment. Heading west you’ll enjoy the Central Arts District, the funky 600 Block and the EDGE District that’s exploding with activity.
Spend a little time downtown and you’ll understand why people love to live, work and play in “The ‘Burg.”
